Autonomous machines are typically used in larger areas and are ideal for cleaning in open spaces.The co-botic 45 is an autonomous scrubber-dryer built for hard-floor spaces in the 200 to 1,500 square meter range, such as retail floors, showrooms, schools, and office lobbies. It is designed to work alongside a human cleaner: the robot handles repetitive scrubbing so the operator can focus on detail work, restrooms, and other tasks a machine cannot do.
Mapping and navigation use two 3D time-of-flight sensors, a 2D LiDAR scanner, and four ultrasonic sensors to build a floor plan, store cleaning routes in memory, and recognize glass and mirrors so it steers around them. Once mapped, it keeps its place and does not miss a spot, even if a floor is temporarily blocked. A standard handle or remote control lets an operator steer the unit manually for mapping or spot cleaning, and schedules and routes are managed through the co-botics app.
The scrubber covers up to 1,500 square meters per cycle, with cleaning pressure from 2 to 6 kilograms and a roller brush running 300 to 900 RPM. Clean and recovery tanks each hold 10 liters, and a single i-power 20 battery gives up to 3 hours of runtime, with a battery swap in about 30 seconds. It uses no detergents and less water than a walk-behind scrubber-dryer.
The co-botic 45 fits mid-size commercial spaces with mostly open, hard-floor layouts, where a repeatable route and quiet, cordless operation matter, such as retail stores, schools, and office or lobby areas cleaned alongside a human cleaner in the same shift.
